Strengthening Trans Java Connectivity, JTT Supports Logistics Efficiency and National Economic Growth
Bekasi (28/10) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing reliable toll road infrastructure across Java Island. Through the management of four representative offices covering strategic sections such as Jakarta–Cikampek, Palimanan–Kanci, Semarang Section A, B, C, and Surabaya–Gempol, JTT plays a vital role in strengthening interregional connectivity while boosting logistics efficiency along the nation’s primary economic corridor.
This year’s commemoration of Youth Pledge Day also becomes an important reminder for JTT to continue fostering the spirit of collaboration and unity in building national connectivity. Embracing the spirit of unity and mutual cooperation that aligns with the values of the Youth Pledge, JTT continues to strengthen synergy to realize efficient and sustainable connectivity throughout Trans Java.
Vice President Corporate Secretary & Legal PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, explained that JTT consistently carries out innovations in managing and improving toll road quality. “JTT is committed to providing toll road services that are not only safe and comfortable but also support the smooth flow of goods and public mobility. Through capacity enhancement, continuous maintenance, and strengthening of traffic monitoring systems, JTT strives to ensure that Trans Java connectivity continues to function optimally as the backbone of the national economy,” said Ria.
Throughout 2025, from January to September, JTT recorded more than 45 million logistics vehicles passing through the toll roads it manages. This traffic illustrates the significant role of the Trans Java Toll Road as the main corridor for goods distribution and intercity travel connecting industrial zones, ports, and commercial centers across Java.
Based on calculations using digital map applications, the journey from Jakarta to Surabaya via the Trans Java Toll Road spans approximately 783 kilometers with an average travel time of around 9 hours 30 minutes. Meanwhile, using non-toll routes, the distance reaches 790 kilometers with a travel time of around 19 hours 21 minutes. This means the presence of the Trans Java Toll Road is able to cut travel time by more than 10 hours, delivering high efficiency for road users while supporting smooth national logistics flow.
To support traffic distribution and maintain user comfort, JTT has carried out a series of road maintenance activities, including scrap filling overlay (SFO), patching, and reconstruction at several priority points along the Jakarta–Cikampek, Palimanan–Kanci, Semarang Section A, B, C, and Surabaya–Gempol toll roads. All works are carried out to maintain road quality in optimal condition and extend construction lifespan, accompanied by socialization through official information channels, outdoor media, and Dynamic Message Signs (DMS) on site.
In addition to focusing on connectivity, JTT is also committed to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles throughout its operations. Various sustainability initiatives have been carried out, including the use of solar energy in toll road facilities, integrated waste management in rest areas, and tree planting along toll corridors as efforts to help reduce carbon emissions.
To support local economic growth, JTT continues to provide opportunities for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the rest and service areas it manages. Currently, more than 30% of JTT rest area tenants are filled by local business operators who form an important part of the economic chain around operational areas.
Through these ongoing efforts, JTT remains committed to providing safe, comfortable, and highly competitive toll road services, while strengthening interregional connectivity that serves as the backbone of national economic growth — in line with the spirit of the Youth Pledge that reaffirms the determination to unite and contribute to the progress of the nation.
