Strengthening Its Commitment to Environmental Sustainability, JTT Group Continues to Expand Greening Programs Along the Trans Java Toll Road Corridor
Cikampek (30/07) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) continues to strengthen its commitment to environmental sustainability through various greening initiatives across the operational areas of the Trans Java Toll Road. As of the first semester of 2026, JTT Group has planted a total of 2,884 trees across the toll road sections under its management as part of the implementation of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles and its commitment to sustainable infrastructure development.
The greening program has been implemented progressively across JTT Group's operational areas, covering four toll road segments and nine Toll Road Subsidiaries (APJT). Various tree species, including pule, tabebuya, ketapang, trembesi, and other shade trees, have been planted as part of efforts to create green open spaces along the toll road corridor. This initiative aims to enhance environmental quality around the toll roads, support carbon sequestration, improve air quality, preserve ecosystem balance, and foster a greener, more sustainable Trans Java Toll Road corridor.
Acting Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Dary Achmad Budi, stated that the greening initiative represents one of the Company's tangible commitments to integrating sustainability principles into its business operations.
"As the operator of the Trans Java Toll Road corridor, JTT Group is committed not only to providing safe and reliable toll road services but also to preserving the environment. Tree planting is one of our concrete efforts to support carbon emission reduction while creating a greener and more sustainable environment for the community," said Dary.
In addition to its tree planting program, JTT Group consistently implements various other environmental management initiatives, including the maintenance of green open spaces, optimization of green areas surrounding toll roads and rest areas, and a range of sustainability programs that support the achievement of low-carbon development targets.
JTT Group will continue to strengthen its commitment to implementing greening and environmental conservation programs as part of the Company's contribution to sustainable infrastructure development, in line with its vision of delivering toll road services that create lasting value for the community, the environment, and future generations.
