Independence Day Holiday Mobility Increases, 112,000 Vehicles Head Eastward on Trans Java
Cikampek (17/08) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume during D-3 to D-1 (August 14–16, 2026) of the long weekend holiday period for the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. A total of 112,340 vehicles traveled toward the eastern part of Trans Java through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT). This figure represents a 23.47% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 90,987 vehicles.
Acting Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Dary Achmad Budi, said, “Meanwhile, a total of 104,061 vehicles traveling from the eastern part of Trans Java toward Jakarta through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate were recorded, an increase of 12.73% compared to the normal traffic volume of 92,312 vehicles,” explained Dary.
An increase in vehicle volume was also recorded on several toll road sections managed by JTT Group in Central Java and East Java.
Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
A total of 54,991 vehicles traveled toward Semarang (an increase of 5.63% from the normal volume of 52,060 vehicles). Meanwhile, 41,663 vehicles traveled from Semarang toward Jakarta (a decrease of 13.88% from the normal volume of 48,376 vehicles).
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
A total of 81,816 vehicles traveled toward Solo (an increase of 3.82% from the normal volume of 78,809 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic toward Jakarta reached 58,947 vehicles (a decrease of 5.78% from the normal volume of 62,561 vehicles).
East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
A total of 57,798 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya (a decrease of 10.83% from the normal volume of 64,816 vehicles), while traffic toward Jakarta reached 60,381 vehicles (a decrease of 0.08% from the normal volume of 60,431 vehicles).
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 78,819 vehicles traveled toward Malang (a decrease of 0.93% from the normal volume of 79,556 vehicles), while 75,109 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya (a decrease of 9.27% from the normal volume of 82,780 vehicles).
c. Singosari Toll Gate
A total of 47,349 vehicles traveled toward Malang (an increase of 1.50% from the normal volume of 46,647 vehicles), while traffic toward Surabaya reached 41,176 vehicles (a decrease of 7.15% from the normal volume of 44,349 vehicles).
Dary added, “Road users are advised to remain focused and alert while driving, prioritize safety, maintain their physical condition, and utilize the Travoy application to access real-time traffic information, rest area locations, toll road CCTV, and emergency services to support a safe and comfortable journey,” said Dary.
