Independence Day Holiday, 85,000 Vehicles Leave Greater Jakarta Heading Eastward on Trans Java
Cikampek (15/08) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume during D-3 to D-2 (August 14–15, 2026) of the long weekend holiday period for the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. A total of 85,790 vehicles traveled toward the eastern part of Trans Java through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT). This figure represents a 33.68% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 64,175 vehicles.
Acting Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Dary Achmad Budi, said, “Meanwhile, a total of 65,674 vehicles traveling from the eastern part of Trans Java toward Jakarta through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate were recorded, an increase of 17.07% compared to the normal traffic volume of 56,098 vehicles,” explained Dary.
An increase in vehicle volume was also recorded on several toll road sections managed by JTT Group in Central Java and East Java.
Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
A total of 42,688 vehicles traveled toward Semarang (an increase of 17.74% from the normal volume of 36,255 vehicles). Meanwhile, 27,518 vehicles traveled from Semarang toward Jakarta (a decrease of 8.21% from the normal volume of 29,979 vehicles).
b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
A total of 59,991 vehicles traveled toward Solo (an increase of 12.85% from the normal volume of 53,162 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic toward Jakarta reached 38,076 vehicles (an increase of 0.33% from the normal volume of 37,951 vehicles).
East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
A total of 40,750 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya (a decrease of 3.50% from the normal volume of 42,226 vehicles), while traffic toward Jakarta reached 44,616 vehicles (an increase of 9.47% from the normal volume of 40,757 vehicles).
b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 53,040 vehicles traveled toward Malang (a decrease of 0.23% from the normal volume of 53,163 vehicles), while 48,429 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya (a decrease of 5.27% from the normal volume of 51,121 vehicles).
c. Singosari Toll Gate
A total of 31,827 vehicles traveled toward Malang (a decrease of 0.96% from the normal volume of 32,134 vehicles), while traffic toward Surabaya reached 25,449 vehicles (a decrease of 2.73% from the normal volume of 26,162 vehicles).
Dary added, “Road users are advised to remain focused and alert while driving, prioritize safety, maintain their physical condition, and utilize the Travoy application to access real-time traffic information, rest area locations, toll road CCTV, and emergency services to support a safe and comfortable journey,” said Dary.
