JTT Reinforces Its Environmental Commitment Through the Planting of 300 Trees Along the Trans Java Toll Road Corridor
Cirebon (01/07) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) continues to strengthen its commitment to environmental conservation through the implementation of greening programs across its operational areas along the Trans Java Toll Road. As part of the Company's sustainability initiatives and a follow-up to the 2026 World Environment Day commemoration, JTT planted a total of 300 trees across the Palimanan–Kanci, Semarang Sections A, B, and C, and Surabaya–Gempol Toll Road segments.
The tree planting activities were carried out simultaneously on Tuesday (30/06) as part of efforts to improve the environmental quality surrounding the toll road, support carbon emission absorption, and create a greener, more shaded, and sustainable Trans Java Toll Road corridor.
Acting Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Dary Achmad Budi, stated that the tree planting program represents one of JTT's tangible efforts to integrate Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into the Company's operations.
"This greening program reflects JTT's commitment to supporting infrastructure development that is not only operationally reliable but also delivers positive environmental benefits. Through tree planting across several segments of the Trans Java Toll Road, we hope to make a meaningful contribution to environmental conservation while creating a greener and more comfortable toll road corridor for the public," said Dary.
This initiative also forms part of JTT's ongoing efforts to achieve its target of planting 1,000 trees throughout 2026. The program was previously initiated through the symbolic handover of tree seedlings to all JTT Group subsidiaries and the establishment of a nursery facility as a plant propagation center. These initiatives provide a strong foundation for the continuous implementation of greening programs across the Company's operational areas.
Going forward, JTT will continue to expand collaboration with various stakeholders in implementing environmental programs as part of its commitment to developing sustainable toll road infrastructure that aligns with environmentally responsible development principles while creating added value for both the community and the surrounding environment.
