Cikampek Utama Toll Gate Records Surge in Mobility Ahead of Indonesia’s Independence Day Holiday, 42,000 Vehicles Head Eastward on Trans Java

Cikampek (15/08) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume on D-3 (August 14, 2026) during the long weekend holiday period for the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. A total of 42,746 vehicles traveled toward the eastern part of Trans Java through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT). This figure represents a 33.14% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 32,105 vehicles.

Acting Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Dary Achmad Budi, said, “Meanwhile, a total of 29,703 vehicles traveling from the eastern part of Trans Java toward Jakarta through the Cikampek Utama Toll Gate were recorded, an increase of 4.01% compared to the normal traffic volume of 28,559 vehicles,” explained Dary.

An increase in vehicle volume was also recorded on several toll road sections managed by JTT Group in Central Java and East Java.

Central Java Region
a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
A total of 20,705 vehicles traveled toward Semarang (an increase of 10.99% from the normal volume of 18,655 vehicles). Meanwhile, 13,994 vehicles traveled from Semarang toward Jakarta (a decrease of 8.48% from the normal volume of 15,291 vehicles).

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
A total of 27,253 vehicles traveled toward Solo (an increase of 6.96% from the normal volume of 25,480 vehicles). Meanwhile, traffic toward Jakarta reached 18,418 vehicles (an increase of 0.22% from the normal volume of 18,377 vehicles).

East Java Region
a. Warugunung Toll Gate
A total of 20,057 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya (a decrease of 3.54% from the normal volume of 20,794 vehicles), while traffic toward Jakarta reached 21,229 vehicles (an increase of 2.84% from the normal volume of 20,642 vehicles).

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 23,660 vehicles traveled toward Malang (a decrease of 2.96% from the normal volume of 24,381 vehicles), while 23,212 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya (a decrease of 2.68% from the normal volume of 23,852 vehicles).

c. Singosari Toll Gate
A total of 13,600 vehicles traveled toward Malang (a decrease of 5.66% from the normal volume of 14,416 vehicles), while traffic toward Surabaya reached 12,067 vehicles (a decrease of 0.36% from the normal volume of 12,111 vehicles).

Dary added, “Road users are advised to remain focused and alert while driving, even though traffic conditions during the long weekend holiday period for the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia have been relatively smooth. Therefore, we continue to encourage road users to prioritize safety, maintain their physical condition, and utilize the Travoy application to access real-time traffic information, rest area locations, toll road CCTV, and emergency services to support a safe and comfortable journey,” said Dary.
