2026 Vesak Day Holiday Traffic Increases, 39 Thousand Vehicles Head Toward Eastern Trans Java Through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate

Cikampek (31/05) – PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) recorded an increase in traffic volume on D-1 (May 30, 2026) of the 2026 Vesak Day long holiday period. A total of 39,052 vehicles traveled toward the eastern Trans Java region through Cikampek Utama Toll Gate (GT Cikampek Utama). This figure represents a 21.77% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 32,070 vehicles.

Vice President of Corporate Secretary & Legal of PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol, Ria Marlinda Paallo, stated, “Meanwhile, a total of 35,833 vehicles traveling from the eastern Trans Java region toward Jakarta passed through GT Cikampek Utama, representing a 30.12% increase compared to the normal traffic volume of 27,539 vehicles,” said Ria.

An increase in traffic volume was also recorded on several toll road sections managed by the JTT Group across Central Java and East Java.

Central Java Region

a. Kalikangkung Toll Gate
A total of 18,999 vehicles traveled toward Semarang, representing a 7.95% increase from the normal volume of 17,600 vehicles. Meanwhile, 17,807 vehicles traveled out of Semarang toward Jakarta, an increase of 21.24% compared to the normal volume of 14,688 vehicles.

b. Banyumanik Toll Gate
Traffic heading toward Solo reached 31,085 vehicles, an increase of 12.29% from the normal volume of 27,682 vehicles. Meanwhile, traffic toward Jakarta totaled 25,432 vehicles, up 29.93% from the normal volume of 19,574 vehicles.

East Java Region

a. Warugunung Toll Gate
A total of 22,368 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, representing a 4.37% increase from the normal volume of 21,432 vehicles, while 25,039 vehicles traveled toward Jakarta, an increase of 24.48% compared to the normal volume of 20,115 vehicles.

b. Kejapanan Utama Toll Gate
A total of 32,421 vehicles traveled toward Malang, an increase of 12.64% from the normal volume of 28,782 vehicles, while 28,510 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, representing a 4.55% increase from the normal volume of 27,269 vehicles.

c. Singosari Toll Gate
A total of 19,561 vehicles traveled toward Malang, representing a 10.40% increase from the normal volume of 17,718 vehicles, while 15,464 vehicles traveled toward Surabaya, an increase of 10.06% from the normal volume of 14,051 vehicles.

Ria added, “Road users are encouraged to remain focused and attentive while driving, even though traffic conditions during the Vesak Day long holiday period have remained relatively smooth. We continue to urge all road users to prioritize safety, maintain their physical condition, and make use of the Travoy application to access real-time traffic information, rest area locations, toll road CCTV, and emergency services to support a safe and comfortable journey,” said Ria.
